All you need is Fanny Crosby, Isaac Watts, and Charles Wesley, and you’ve got enough hymns to last a lifetime.

Soldiers of Christ Arise, by Charles Wesley, sung by Maddy Prior and the Carnival Band in 18th century style–this may well be what the hymn sounded like when it was first sung in a worship service.
