And the first entry in our Christmas carol contest is by TheWhiteRabbit: For Unto Us a Child is Born, from Handel’s Messiah, performed by the London Symphony Orchestra. And you know this Bible verse, here set to music: Isaiah 9:6.

Way to go, whiterabbit. This is a lovely song to start us off.
This is one of my favorite parts of The Messiah!! Thank you, Whiterabbit, for requesting this!!
And I would like to request “God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen” sung by Libera! Here’s the link! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQw83_zpbJg
Saving it for tomorrow morning, Joshua.
Thank you!!
P.S.–This really is superb! It makes me feel like I’m five years old again.
I just found this one of Carroll Roberson’s Christmas page. Mary’s Little Boy Child.
Thank you for posting this, Lee. Every time I hear this song I am blessed. The conductor’s hair reminded me of what hair looks like these day. So excited about the Christmas Carol contest. Also, I ordered a T-shirt with two Quokkas on it for my wife for Christmas – she will love me forever for it – well for at least a month maybe 🙂
