Sorry, but you can’t wash this off.
As if it weren’t bad enough that Chick-fil-A has caved in to homosexual supremacists’ demands that they cut off donations to the Salvation Army and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, now we learn that it has also donated $100,000 to a group that hosts the “Drag Queen Story Hour” (https://thefederalist.com/2019/12/12/yes-chick-fil-a-really-is-funding-a-group-that-hosts-drag-queen-story-hour/).
Investigated and uncovered by LifeSite News, reported by The Federalist Society, IRS tax records show that in 2018, Chick-fil-A doled out $100,000 to Covenant House–a group that hosts the “Drag Queen Story Hour” and marches in homosexual “pride parades.”
This is a deep betrayal of Christian America by a corporation that used to pride itself–and take plenty of flak for it–on its support for Christian morality and the family. It’s hard to imagine anything more abominable than this.
Let’s stop eating there, shall we?
Methinks that Chik-Fil-A have made a grave error.
What bothers me is that they have played upon their being a Christian-based organization. I don’t care if McDonald’s donates to charities I wouldn’t care to donate to; they don’t claim to be Christian. CFA really betrayed a lot of loyal customers.
Unfortunately, there’s probably a lot of businesses who donate to these kind of things that we don’t know about and they don’t advertise it. If we boycotted every business that did this I suspect our options would be pretty limited. But what stings the most are the Christians who have been defending Chik-Fil-A for the last 7 years against the rabid LGBT activists, and all the while they have taken advantage of our good will.
Yes, there are many corporations that contribute to the culture-killers, and of course we can’t boycott them all.
But if we worked as hard for our side as the culture-killers work for theirs, we’d win the culture war in a few days.
For us we just want to be left alone to live our lives and raise our families. So activism is not something we gravitate toward. But for the left politics is their religion. That has given them an advantage in that area because they are so zealous about. For instance, their campaign against Chik-fil-A for the past 7 years. Normal people would have moved on a long time ago, but they treat as some unforgivable sin.
The last poll I saw said 60% of Americans support same-sex marriage (If it can be trusted). In any case, it’s clear the culture has shifted dramatically on this issue. From this point on we are fighting an uphill battle. I’m not sure what the answer is. I don’t want to say the situation is impossible or that we shouldn’t keep trying. Dramatic shifts have happened before, such as when Christians went from being persecuted to the dominate religion of the West. One option is to build parallel structures. Have our own schools, or own entertainment, our own sub-culture.
If these are the time I believe we are living in these are the things I would expect to see, and it will get worse before it gets before. In the end God has the final say, and it wont end well for them.
I don’t believe that poll for a minute. Maybe not even a second.
I agree that we should probably expect more of this in the future I don’t care for it one bit, but I think it serves a purpose. God is showing people the ultimate fruitage on human rule. Those whom reject God will be fine with it, but I suspect that many people will see the ultimate issue of God’s Sovereignty in stark relief and be able to make an informed decision.
P.S.–The best way to defeat the Far Left Crazy is to break our so-called “education” establishment, which really does nothing but crank out more commies. Defund the public looniversities, bust the teacher unions, and watch radicalism die.
That’s why she shouldn’t patronize them any longer. Those other businesses never made a claim of righteousness. Betrayal hits deep.
Oh trust me, I’ve stopped a few weeks ago.
Looks like a landslide of ‘wholesome’ companies cowering under prevailing pressure. Now Hallmark advertises homosexual romances! 😖
What I cannot begin to understand, or imagine, is any reason for doing this.
I’m nearly out of coins! During this time of year I always gravitate toward the jingling of the Salvy and their red pots. I’ve upped my donations telling them that if Chick-Fil-A won’t help out no more, I’ll do it. Breaks my heart about Chick-Fil-A.
Well, the founders died and their successors hired some leftid to run their charities.
I read that their franchises lost customers and some folded when the left…left. Not enough of us filled the gap. After all, it’s just business, right? The upside of Chick’s Fall-A is that I expect donations to the Salvation Army and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes to increase – at least for Christmas.
Why is it that the bad guys can get all their things accomplished, but normal people can’t?
If the door to salvation is narrow then the tug-of-war rope on our end must be short? Normal people carry the burden of bad guys; bad guys travel light?
That’s a good point. Astute!
Gazundheit! – lol. Thank you.
The story is getting worse
