‘The Log’–It’s More Than Just a Fallen Tree

Aaah! This is more like it! Much more like it.

Our friend “Unknowable” sent us this video last night, and we’ve just got to share it with you: all these different animals using a fallen tree-trunk as a bridge across a stream. I especially loved the little duckling who decided to do it the hard way, climbing over the log when he could have much more easily swum under it.

This is God’s stuff, and it works. All the time.

  1. Let’s face: we’re living through some hardship right now. Watching this last night gave me perspective. These animals all live by God’s provision. Our human systems and infrastructure are being severely challenged by current events, yet these animals are not affected. I hope that this current situation passes quickly and we can start building back to normality, but no matter what, our existence is as dependent upon God’s provision as any of these animals. We’ll be alright.

  2. I want to walk across that log. Reminds me of family vacations in California at Bass Lake. The lagoon where we camped had floating logs, and what fun to balance on them until they rolled too much and us plunging into the refreshing water.

    1. I got my share of soakers, as a boy. Hard to believe we used to have places like that, around here! All paved over by Democrats now.

  3. That was a lot of fun! I was surprised at how many bears (or was it one bear multiple times?) kept walking across.
The Great Blue Heron was a treat to see, as they are one of my favorite birds.
