We haven’t visited with the Lutheran Warbler in a while, so here she is! This is the first time I’ve heard this version of Martin Luther’s hymn, A Mighty Fortress Is Our God. There’s always controversy over which variant of the hymn is the “right” one. But anything that gives glory to God is right.

This is the version we sing in my Lutheran church. I prefer the version I learned growing up in the Methodist Church. Luther knew the Church in this fallen world is to be militant. What happened to that Biblical view? I still say the “Last Days Rapture Theory” killed the church’s salt and light.
