I heard this melody played at a Civil War battlefield and never forgot it, although it was years before I found out its name. Jesus Saves–as sung at the United Reformed Church’s 2012 Synod at Nyack, New York. And that’s the beautiful Hudson River in the picture.
This was a regular, often sung song in the church I attended as a child. It even convicted some of the unsaved guests who attended.

I remember the Four Square Churches always had a banner across the building: “Jesus Saves.” I now know what they meant 🙂 Jesus saves to the uttermost!
