The rain stopped this afternoon, the sun came out, so I set up my chair and plunged into writing the other climax of my book, The Witch Box. I have to say “the other climax” because this book has two of them.
Now I’m excited. I think this book is my most ambitious writing project yet and I can hardly wait to see how readers respond to it. That’s something an author never knows until it’s too late to do anything about it. You either fly or flop.
Uh, what’s with the picture of the bonfire? Well, I needed one to set the scene, but that’s all I’m at liberty to tell you just now. Such a temptation to drop hints! But it’s just not wise to give in to it.
And after this (if it doesn’t flop), I’m definitely leaning toward going back in time to King Ozias…
That’s a good sign when the author is excited about his book. Stay positive and give it your best. I pray the Lord will bless your work to His glory.
Thanks so much for that!
How long does it typically take you to write a book? I’ve been working on my own project and it’s a lot more work than I anticipated.
Six or seven months.
I had a hard time of it this year because the weather was against me. I don’t think we went a single week without a rainy day or two.
That’s still pretty good time.
I’ve enjoyed journeying through the Bell Mountain series thus far. I don’t believe the next installment will disappoint. Keep writing when you can!
As for The Witch Box, if I can pull this off, I’ll have done something! But first Behold! has to be published. Gee, I’d better start looking for some cover art.
Thanks so much for your support!
