‘Low Temps, Short Fuses’ (2018)

Well, it’s dreadfully cold today, there’s snow in the forecast, and I have to go to the store for supplies.

It reminds me of a day a couple of years ago.

Low Temps, Short Fuses

In fact, we don’t get to see many fistfights around here, not even on the basketball court. But cabin fever is hard on some people.

P.S.–Our cat Robbie was violently ill yesterday afternoon, we were afraid she was going to die on us; but it passed. Please pray for our little household. (Yes, I know, see the vet–which we would’ve done yesterday, only they were all booked up and couldn’t see us.)

  1. Sounds a lot like here. Brrrr, cold, and yesterday, went to my bank and found it closed until 31st. Never ran into that before. Inconvenience, frustration, not feeling well. Such fun

  2. We’ve been at single digits this week, actually hitting zero early this morning. But tomorrow we may have a heat wave, into the double digits and maybe even the 20s before it returns to the single digits again. It doesn’t make me want to fight; it makes me want to curl up under a pile of blankets with a warm cat.

As for snow, it’s on its way again, but no one seems to know how much. I have three different weather apps predicting varying amounts for tomorrow evening and Friday morning, from “less than a half inch” to “6-10 centimeters” (approx 2-5 inches). And these are the people who tell us they can predict what the climate will be in a hundred years. 🥴
