Klepto Kitties

Cats adapt. In fact, they do it rather well. Here, a) they understand what a drawer is, b) they understand that drawers are likely to contain objects that they want, and c) they know how to open drawers. Although what the one cat wanted with a toothbrush, I don’t know.

  1. The opening of drawers, in this home, must be strategized like D-Day, or there will be a certain feline in the drawer, then behind the drawer. Once that happens, the only solution is to remove the drawer, until she crawls out, on her own, puzzled as to why the drawer was removed. I’ll spare you the horrors of trying to sneak a bag of cat food into the house, although, for the life of me, I can’t figure out how she can know that a sealed plastic bag even contains cat food.
