My Newswithviews Column, July 13 (‘The Silly Season’)

You’ve just gotta love those Obamas, rage-tweeting about how oppressed they are, aboard a luxury yacht in Greece; and the dindles in Oregon who want segregated hiking paths in the middle of the forest. It takes a lot of work to achieve this much idiocy.

The Silly Season

Summer used to be “the silly season” in news reporting; but now the silliness goes on year-round. I once, uh, “covered” a 9-year-old finding a dead fish washed up on the beach (who’d have thought it!)… because there was nothing else to write about and we had a paper to fill.

Hey! Are we all done with lockdowns yet? I mean, we could use ’em to avoid the risk of meeting anyone who might be “prejudiced”…

  1. Great column as always, Lee.

Pardon me if I’m not around much this weekend. Iggy is coming to the end of his rope, and his vet won’t be back until Monday. Meanwhile, my young cousin Miriam is going to be in town this weekend, and only God will get me through with a semblance of cheerfulness, especially if Iggy dies during (or just before) her visit. Please pray for all of us — Iggy, me, and Miriam.

  2. My thoughts and prayer are with both you and Iggy, Phoebe.

I can’t believe that people actually want segregation. It wasn’t that long ago that we were working to remove its last vestiges. The mind staggers.

  3. The Obamas Netflix shows are up for award nominations. We need a total Biblical Worldview Great Reset that creates our own institutions. Angel Studios is showing the way by getting Christians to donate to a project and then create it debt-free. We need Christian banks, lawyers, TV show makers, News reporters, and on and on. Jesus said to pray: God’s Kingdom come on the earth as it is in Heaven – it is our marching orders.

    1. One of the things I am learning is that there are still a lot of Christians out there, and there is a huge audience for biblically themed movies.
