So who’s “educating” your children, these days?
In the Godley (holy cow) Independent School District, Texas, a woman who was twice convicted for prostitution served on “several positions” with the district–and has been removed from her seat on the district’s “sex education council” (https://www.breitbart.com/education/2023/11/30/video-convicted-prostitute-booted-texas-schools-sex-ed-council/).
Please–no wisecracks about going to a real professional.
An ordinary background check didn’t turn up the convictions because her activities were deemed, under Texas law, misdemeanors instead of felonies.
It still didn’t sit well with the parents. They turned up the information for themselves and got rather upset by it. The woman said she had several “businesses”… without revealing the nature of her business. In the end, the school board had to let her go: too big a backlash, as it were.
The lizard is a cute little fella.

Good point. It was bad when I was a kid, and it has to be much worse, now.
