Well, I’m back from the doctor’s and I think I know now how my iguana felt when he turned 17.
The doctor thinks I’ve developed arthritis. That would explain how I came to have these problems without first getting injured. He’s going to give me some medicine for it and I’m going to keep on walking as much as I can. Please pray for it to work.
Meanwhile, it’s been a few months since I worked in my current novel. I’ll have to go back and read what I’ve written so far. Ozias has to defend his kingdom from an invasion by the Heathen, and it won’t be easy. There are people around him who can’t be trusted.
So let’s dig up the manuscript and get to work! Kirk DouPonce is on board for the cover art and we’ve already got some good ideas for it.
FWIW, I take Tart Cherry Extract capsules daily, to reduce inflammation, and it seems to help. I also eat a low carb, high protein diet, which I think has helped greatly. You know, I think I heard that advice some decades ago, when I was troubled by gout. Thanks!
I hope it helps.
OK, glad you are back and arthritis is one of my problems. My dad had it very bad. He was advised to take aspirin and he took lots of them for a long time- and one day, he had a
severe nose bleed that could have done him in if my husband hadn’t happened to stop
their house one day just before it was too late. So I don’t recommend aspirin. Not long
ago, I took some aspiirin and my nose began to bleed like a faucet turned on. I prayer
and the Lord turned it off just as suddenly. We have to be a bit cautious about thiings
doctors prescribe or recommend. It is always wise to research the things prescribed.
No aspirin for me!
Patty researches these things for us.
If worse comes to worse, I’ll just keep limping.
Good. Doing our own research is the best way to check those things out. Prayer is the best cure Through the years, I have diagnosed my own problems when the doc didn’t have a clue. Like the low thyroid. He did labs after I told him what to look for. That was only one.
My lady friend at church was having trouble with arthritis. She was given medicine for it and she claims it has really helped.
I pray it works for me. I’m really tired of his affliction.
The tart cherries helps me a lot with arthritis. You’re in my prayers!
I had no suspicion of arthritis before the doctor mentioned it on Friday. Thanks for your prayers.
Thanks, Michele–I’m going to try it.
