Something you don’t see every day: a squirrel on a bed.
I wonder why more people don’t have squirrels as pets. You’d think they’d make wonderful pets. Can anybody out there tell us why or why not?

Why do we love animals so much? I believe that it’s part of the Creator’s plan.
That squirrel seems very good natured. He knows that he has a good thing going. 🙂
His motto: Don’t rock the boat.
He’s a smart little rodent.
My family likes to say, “They know where their bread gets buttered.”
We buy peanuts and throw them out for the squirrels. If they run out, they’ll come look in the door, wait for someone to toss them another handful. Some are fearless and wait for us to hand a peanut directly to them, and others bolt the moment we open the door but come back when we close it. They are definitely “their own” little creatures.
There used to be a squirrel who’d hang out with me when I sat on the stoop to smoke my pipe. So of course I gave him peanuts.
