‘Not-So-Fond Memory: The Flatline Church’ (2017)

I’ll never forget this interview.

With a high official of the United Methodist Church, no less.

Not-so-Fond Memory: The Flatline Church

What is the point of an atheist church? Why be a high official of any church if you don’t believe its teachings?

The good news is, we don’t need them. The Holy Spirit will find teachers and preachers for us. I doubt any of them will ever even mention “realpolitik.”

  1. To echo the late Linda Sorci’s comment, from seven years ago, the falling away is to be expected. What amazes me is how rapidly it has proliferated.

  2. There are 200,000 churches in America so of course some of them are going to be fake churches. Many men and women aspire to be pastors for the authority it gives them over people and to be looked up to as a man or woman of God. Too many are in it for seducing women and molesting children. Like I said, they are fake churches.
