Wow! I didn’t know you could get this friendly with a chipmunk. I wonder if I could do it. We have chipmunks in our neighborhood–especially on the shady spot where I sit down to write. I think I’ll try putting some birdseed by my chair and see who takes me up on it.
You do have to be a bit careful. The have sharp teeth, and at times bite.
Did they bite you?
I’ll take your advice. You sound like you know.
I once took my younger son to a nearby forest park, and we had some snacks with us. There was a chipmunk that kept coming closer and closer to us, and when we tossed out some scraps, it was a bit wary, but finally sneaked up and grabbed some and ran off.
How about a hymn suggestion for tomorrow. Carroll Roberson doing Soon and Very Soon.
I’ve seen that YouTube channel before. It’s refreshing to see the natural beauty and the wildlife. I guess it started with one chipmunk who became so tame that she would enter the house. They even built a little chipmunk house where she could feel safe, inside their home. Lovely videos of our Creator’s wonderous works.
There was a little roadside business in the Colorado Rockies which sold snacks, etc. There were chipmunks there and if you sat on one side of the building the chipmunks would climb right up on you to take food. IIRC, they mostly fed them peanuts.
