That is absolutely mind blowing. All I can think is that most living things are happy to receive free food, but I’d still keep my distance from any stingray.
An hour drive away, my friend owns a small island with a resort. It’s plopped in the middle of a number of islands in a large bay, a mile from shore. For most of the bay, the water is about 6 – 8 feet deep, with a rocky bottom. When there, we did island hopping.
In the bay a short distance away, built on pilings, was a restaurant and a few other buildings. In one section the ocean was enclosed by nets. It was a place you could visit the sea life, by going in the water. There were about 10 stingrays. Ranging in size from small, to a few at least as big as the one in the video. Sam didn’t want to go in, but Maribeth hopped in. She loved it. She made a few new friends by feeding them.
