Some of the cats in these videos take a lot of provocation from babies. Some don’t. Can cats understand that human babies are… well, babies? Do they make allowances for it? I dunno, some cats are smarter than others.

I think that animals can sense babies, of other animals species and of humans. We’ve seen any number of videos where animals act protectively of the young of other species and I suspect that they behave similarly towards human young. It’s heartwarming to see, as a facet of our Creator’s genius in creation.
Well, first off, I would never have allowed a cat to be that near one of my infants. I have always loved cats and like to have them around me, but a tiny helpless infant? Never.
I’ve known cats I would trust and cats I wouldn’t.
I think it depends upon the cat. Most cats I’ve known are gentle, but I’ve met some which were aggressive.
