Do we want to buy this? “Red” means “socialist” or “communist.” And these are teachers’ union members.
Almost everywhere else in life, if you pay for something, you own it. Maybe it’ll require a series of payments before you take ownership. But eventually whatever it is… is yours.
But not in government-land. There you never stop paying and never acquire ownership.
Is this just? Is this right? We have no say in who runs out public schools, who teaches in them, what they teach, how they’re paid… all we do is pay and pay and pay. If we vote down the school budget, the State Dept. of Education simply nullifies our vote. (Maybe it’s different in your state, but that’s how we do it here in Jersey. We call it “Democracy.”)
But let’s not own public education. It’s not worth owning. Bring the children out of public education for home, religious, or private schooling.
Public education has gotten worse and worse, while we pay more and more.
We have trustingly and foolishly allowed this to happen, and now here we are. It is like the drifting away from God and His truth into the devil’s realm of deception. So sad.
That’s it, in a nutshell. The problem, at heart, is spiritual.
Most founding fathers were educated at home, then went onto college when 16 years old. Teach the children at home and in group times with other homeschoolers – form associations. Christians have no excuse for not giving their children a Christian education. It is a commandment of the Lord given to Moses.
