What’s wrong with this headline?
Newsom signs bill requiring janitors to take $200 sexual assault training (https://justthenews.com/nation/states/center-square/newsom-signs-bill-requiring-janitors-take-200-sexual-harassment).
To me it reads like they mean to teach janitors how to commit sexual assault. “No, no, no, Swenson! You don’t say ‘How do you do?’ before you grab her!”
Buried deep in the text is a statement that the purpose of this new legislation is to protect female janitors from sexual harassment. Well, then, why the dickens didn’t they say so, right up front? Doesn’t anybody know how to write a news story anymore?
The article also leaves unclear the detail of who will pay for the training, the janitor or his employer. And it seems to be presumed that sexual harassment is NEVER committed by women.
All we can say for sure is that Newsom signed something involving janitors and sexual harassment… but we’re not sure what.
It also doesn’t say who’ll receive the $200. Probably some government official, if only with a rakeoff from the contractor.
Meanwhile, Facebook removed that post for reasons (?) that are totally obscure to me.
Doublespeak is all these globalist types know how to speak. Control, control, control is their mantra.
Facebook scrubbed this post. I have no idea why.
I’ve been to any number of such trainings. Some were good, but I was in a couple where the sought to make us uncomfortable, and it worked quite well.
Update:
I had another “attack” yesterday. Intense pain, in and around my chest. I thought this must be a heart attack. I went to the hospital, after all the tests, my heart is fine, but I have gall stones which caused a blockage, which requires surgery. So, tomorrow, it’s off to another city, 5 hours away to have the needed surgery. It cost a lot just to find out what’s wrong. But it’s gona cost a lot more for the operation and overnight stay at the hospital. All costs are out of pocket, for I don’t have insurance.
On the upside, it’s at least curable. Best to you, Mike.
We’re dropping like flies…
Is medical insurance, as we know it, available in the Philippines?
Yes, you are correct, it’s curable.
And brother Lee, I haven’t dropped yet.
Well, there is, but I was on my wife’s plan, and when she passed away, there went my insurance. I am not Filipino, so the cost would have been huge. And even if I had that insurance, the cost is still out of my range.
Years ago, I was a school janitor. I’d quit before having to go through training like that.
