Requested by Phoebe, sung by Mediaeval Baebes–The Holly and Ivy. Gee, I was all set to post this before I heard from anybody.
I am too weak this year to trim a Christmas tree, let alone bring it through the door. So we’ll need a lot of hymns.

Thanks for letting us know what you are up to. Always good to hear from you. I did request a Christmas song by Carroll– if it got through to you. I’ll be watching. Meantime, this is a good one.
I’ll post yours a little later. (Trying to decide whether it’s too cold outside to sit and enjoy the snow.)
Home in time for a white Christmas, how lovely. Let the trees outside be your Christmas tree this year – I’m sure they will enjoy the attention.
I would greatly enjoy a white Christmas.
I love this carol — and it looks as though we’re back to reading each other’s minds about hymns and carols! (We sometimes forget to be grateful for our normal things until they’re taken away for a while, right?) 😊
It’s a bit strange, I have known for years that “The Holly and the Ivy” was a song played at Christmas time. The melody was familiar, but until today, I have never listened to the words. Now, thanks to your post, a wonderful “new” song I have to learn and take joy from.
There will never be a white Christmas, here, in the Philippines. I do miss the falling snow and the snowstorms. But the snow shoveling, not so much.
This is Elder Mike. I don’t know if you can read this post. One of my posts got through, but after that one, no more showed up on your blog. And the one that showed up, listed me as anonymous. I don’t know how to fix this, I am about ready to give up. I will still pray for you and Patty even if you don’t hear from me.
I’m reading it now, Mike.
Things got disorganized here with me in the hospital for 6 weeks.
