‘Not Compatible’ (Ya Think?)

We quote: “Being politically liberal and being highly religious are just not compatible.” –Ryan Burge, Political Science professor at East Illinois University.

Although he didn’t actually say so, I think he’s talking mostly about Christianity, and maybe Judaism. But if he were talking about “religion” in general, he’d be wrong.

Actually, liberals are extremely “religious.” It’s just that their religion is a form of paganism.

Thank about it. Who are more fanatical than Far Left crazies who say there is no God.? Who are more intolerant? Good grief! If you’ve ever tried debating any of these people, you know what it’s like to argue with a statue. Like, no God, but Transgender is holy and sacred and indisputable and how dare you, how dare you!, not support it with everything you’ve got? It’s hate speech, that’s what it is! Why aren’t these transphobic biggits in prison??? And so on.

God forbid our country should fall into their hands–and we have already come perilously close to doing so.

The Democrat Party must be destroyed.

  1. When Moses was sent to Pharaoh, he was told to tell Pharaoh that “I Am” had sent him to demand that release of the sons of Israel. I Am speaks volumes. There are many gods, with a lowercase g, but only one true God, the Creator, and He was making Himself known to Pharaoh. He, the Creator of all, exists and whatever else people choose to worship cannot withstand the will of the One True God.

This is THE issue of all issues. It starts with acknowledgment that the Creator exists, but requires understanding of God’s will. At the time of the flood, the first rules were given.

Genesis 9:3 “Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything. 4 But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood. 5 And for your lifeblood I will require a reckoning: from every beast I will require it and from man. From his fellow man I will require a reckoning for the life of man.

6 “Whoever sheds the blood of man,
by man shall his blood be shed,
for God made man in his own image.l

Two basic rules, given immediately after being instructed to fill the earth. One positive command with the guaranty of God’s blessing, and two prohibitive commands, and God let mankind know that they were made in His image, and that they were expected to respect human life. Advancing to some of God’s last communications, Jesus explained that love of God and love of neighbor were enough to fulfill the entire law.

When I was growing up, most of the adults in town would consider themselves as Christians, albeit, there were some whose lives were not shining examples of Christianity at work. But they at least believed that there was One True God, and they acknowledged His sovereignty. Most of my school teachers considered themselves Christian and for the first few years, we started each school day with the Lord’s Prayer, right out of the book of Matthew.

I’m not suggesting that all of the townsfolk were shining examples of Christian devotion, but most of them at least thought that there basics of Christianity were a good way to live. I would say that many Jewish people, likewise, knew that there was a God above to Whom they were responsible.

There is a struggle between good and evil, and it has been ongoing since the beginning of human history. This is a real struggle, not just some vague metaphor. According to my understanding of scripture, there are members of the spirit realm who are in opposition to the Creator. These spirit creatures are actively attempting to subvert good. Paul explains it in Ephesians 9:12 “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.”

    2 Timothy 4:3-5 tells us.
3 “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. 5 As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.” Other translations tell us that people will no longer tolerate, or put up with sound teaching. https://biblehub.com/2_timothy/4-3.htm

We are now at the point of this prophecy, this is happening in real time, and indeed, there are now many people who will not tolerate sound teaching. But, as always happens, opposition also brings with it growth. There are many people who are advancing in their faith, and speaking boldly. Knowledge is becoming abundant, just as the book of Daniel predicted. As knowledge grows, individuals are making known just where they stand, with regard to God’s sovereignty. The sheep and the goats will make their hearts apparent. Christ is the judge, but I suspect that it will be apparent to any onlooker. We see people in our day going out of their way to make the condition of their heart, with regard to God, as to whether they favor good or bad conspicuous to all observers.
