I’m home again–and calloo, callay, O frabjous day, I’ve been set free from the catheter. The doctor wants me to come back this afternoon so he can check on how it’s going. So far, so good.
So I’ve had my cigar, now it’s lunch-time, and then it’s back to the doctor. God forbid they have to put the catheter back in! Just taking it out was exceedingly painful. Going back in would be worse. But I’ve already had one normal pee episode, so I think I’m free to hope for the best.
And hum baby, I’m tired!
Thanks be to God for another victory! I know they seem like small victories in the face of all that’s been and all that’s to come, but they’re accumulating more and more. I continue to pray for even more victories.
We’re trying to get this afternoon’s appointment postponed till tomorrow. We are both worn out.
I did the catheter thing twice last year and was beyond miserable. Concerns about both prostrate and bladder cancer were involved. All turned out well. Prayers for you.

A major milestone. Way to go, Lee.
Praise God!! 🎉🎊
Nice picture. Yeah, I had to use one of those for a while. Things can go really wrong, if the catheter is not inserted correctly. Caused me a great deal of pain. I pray that you will not need to have another one put back in, and are on the road to recovery. Elder Mike
Last night was the first time in four months I tried to sleep without the catheter. It was a disaster.
