Anheuser-Busch Cancels SF ‘Pride’ Sponsorship

The best photos from the 2022 San Francisco Pride parade

This is how a civilization dies.

Far Left Crazy is singing the blues: major corporate sponsors have dropped out of the latest San Francisco “Pride” event (https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/mar/18/anheuser-busch-coors-pull-sponsorship-san-francisco-pride). They are “proud” of their sexual practices.

Anheuser-Busch took a $27 billion (!) hit in 2023… after resorting to transgender fake woman Dylan Mulvaney as the face of Bud Lite (https://www.forbes.com/sites/aliciapark/2024/07/18/bud-light-boycott-effects-endure-brand-drops-to-third/).

This year’s losses, so far, are up to $300,000.

The Guardian (British newspaper) blames President Donald Trump for “attacking” organized perversion.

Well, we told you, didn’t we, that Far Left Crazy will not go gentle into that good night? They’ll have to be shoved out, kicking and screaming. It won’t be restful.

  1. Whatever happened to simply offering a product on its merits, letting the consumer choose as they see fit, and not trying to lecture customers? I don’t want any product to come with unnecessary social or political strings attached. When I do my grocery shopping, I’m not doing so as some sort of statement, but instead, I am choosing based upon the merits of the product.

But some companies have chosen to deliberately insult some potential customers, such as Starbucks allegedly making comments that they weren’t interested in the business of Trump supporters. Aging Rock musician, Todd Rundgren made similar comments regarding not wanting Trump supporters to buy his recordings (which probably haven’t sold all that well since his last hit, in 1983). Both of these are transparent attempts to drum up business from liberals who might see buying a Starbucks coffee or a Todd Rundgren album as a vote against Trump. But such a move miscalculates the ratio of conservatives to liberals.

If every Trump voter quit buying Starbucks tomorrow, it would show in their bottom line. If every conservative quit buying Todd Rundgren records … well, who cares? But … in both cases … memories persist, and alienating potential customers is just bad business, period. A lot of conservatives will drive right past Starbucks, from now on. I doubt that Rundgren’s stuff was flying off the shelves, anyway, so the net effect was probably minimal.

Fratty? Hmmm? Bud Light is relatively cheap, somewhat low calorie beer. Sounds like a cheap way to get buzzed, or even pie-eyed drunk, with less risk of weight gain. Now let’s see; who would want such a product? Hey, I got it, college boys who want to entertain on a budget and possibly break down the inhibitions of college girls, hopefully without the risk of gaining a beer gut in the process. Wow! That sounds like the perfect market for such a product. Now, what do they call the social organizations on college campuses? Oh yeah, now I remember, fraternities; frats for short. Yep, better get right to work on insulting that demographic.

How can any business expect to thrive if they seek to alienate their customer base? As I recall, the marketing executive who decided upon this campaign found herself free to pursue other opportunities very shortly after her ad campaign started. Well, that’s a bonus; who would want to be tethered to a company that sells “fratty” beer? No comic writer could improve upon the ridiculous nature of all this nonsense.

    1. These are people who have been pushed through our “education” system… from which common sense has been expunged.
