Our cat Henry got himself tangled up in a plastic bag in the middle of the night, and it was the devil’s own job catching him–he panicked, of course–and setting him free. It can’t be helped: most cats love poking themselves into bags. It’s wise not to leave plastic bags where cats can’t get them.
Cats seem to have a very strong desire to be in an enclosed space, and bags are just right. There was a Garfield cartoon, back in the era of brown paper bags, where Garfield crawls into an empty grocery bag on the kitchen counter. While the human observes that cats love bags, Garfield head back out of the bag thinking “darn, no groceries”. 🙂
Poor Henry! That must have been quite the midnight adventure. Cats and bags are a chaotic combo definitely a good reminder to keep plastic ones out of reach! Swiss water process
He didn’t do it again, at least.
