I don’t get decent sleep anymore, and today we have two (!) doctors’ appointments instead of just one! And another one tomorrow. And then a whole bunch of stuff on Monday, leading up to abdominal surgery before the sun comes up on Tuesday.
It’s getting me down.
Well, blog coverage is gonna be pretty spotty for a while. I’ll try to keep it going. It’s one of the few things I can still enjoy.
Let’s see if I can find a hymn to post.
Priority #1 is your health. Don’t worry about us, you’re worth waiting for. Maybe Patty can let us know how you are doing. This is the an important step in your recovery. I had abdominal surgery, many years ago, and it wasn’t a lot of fun, but within a day or two, I started to feel better, and my health improved markedly afterward. I’m certain that you will get through this and put it all behind you. Intestines heal remarkably fast, BTW. That is some of the fastest replaced tissue in the body with an abundant blood supply, so even a resection heals quickly.
You remain in my prayers, but please, don’t worry about the blog. It will be here when you get back, with a community of people who care, and are more than happy to wait until you are ready to come back.
Thanks for that, Mark. I want to keep going, as far as I can.
I have every confidence that you will come out of this stronger and better. No surgery is fun I’ve had a number of them myself, but with modern anesthetics and modern surgical techniques, recovery times are far better than they were in generations past. Also, patient outcomes are far better than they were in generations past. I would suggest that by the end of the year, you will feel better than you have in a long time.
That would be glorious.
Keep your mind fixed on the overall goal, which is to recover. That will help you through the tough times. You’ll get better, but it’s one day at a time.
If you can still post something every day that’s great, but please do not feel obligated. We all have gone through times we are out of pocket – we understand. In the meantime, daily prayers for your healing and restored health and vigor.
Thank you.
Brother Lee, what you are going through the Lord knows and understands. Consider this.
My Love Won’t Cease
“I heard the prayer, my child,
That you just sent to Me.
My mind and heart are open,
For I still care for thee.”
“My hands, My side, My feet
Have scars, don’t you see?
I was wounded for your transgressions,
My love won’t cease to be.”
“My love won’t cease to be,
Forever, eternally.
Before the world began,
I loved and thought of thee.”
“It’s good that you have come
To that place, the end you cannot see.
For now you realize I alone can help,
If you put your trust in Me.”
