Well, here I am at home, at my computer. It’s good to be back.
My heartfelt thanks to all of you who phoned me at the hospital. It meant a great deal to me.
Bob Knight asked me what I’d had done so far, so I told him: chemotherapy, rectal cancer, colon cancer, shaving the prostate gland–
At which point he said, “And you’re still here? Wow.”
And I still have hip replacement surgery to go.
Side effect: I’ve forgotten some of how to use the computer, and I’m in no state to start another novel. I’ll have to come back slowly, bit by bit. I do feel like a castaway washed up on a desert island. But I think I’ll be able to write a “Joe Collidge” tomorrow. [“What? You went through all the pain and agita for that???”]
Let’s see if I can post a hymn.
I am so glad to hear you’re home!
Now if I can just remember how to operate this blog…
You’ve come a long way. Just concentrate on taking good care of yourself, and things should even out, from now on.
I hope my readers come back. I’m grateful to those who have stayed with me.
They will.
So glad you are home. Missed you and your blog so much.
I missed it, too, Teddy.
Thanks be to God! We’ve missed you so much! And everyone I know who’s been praying for you will be so happy to hear the news.
Welcome home, Lee! Take it easy for a while, have a cigar, and watch a scary movie. I wonder if Joe Collige went to Minnesota this week to pay his respects to George Floyd who died of an overdose. I have a hymn request: “All Creatures of Our God and King”.
I’ll post it tomorrow.
So glad to hear you are home! Wonderful news!
Also glad I actually started getting notifications again. No idea why I stopped getting them in the first place…
Computer stuff never works as it should.
It’s a blessing to have a home to return to. It’s good you are back. We have been praying for this.
Yes, getting released into homelessness would be rather hard to bear.
