I had a rough night last night. But I remember two dreams I had–well, I sort of remember them–so maybe I had a little more sleep than I thought.
First I woke in the middle of the night with the traces of a nice, soothing dream in which I was playing with tree frogs (see the photo above). I was sorry to come out of that one.
Later, almost morning, I woke from a dream involving Strobe Talbot. Who? I couldn’t quite remember who he was, so we looked him up. He’s a die-hard Clintonista who has it in for Donald Trump.
Why did I dream about him? I don’t know. Often enough, dreams are trying to tell you something that you missed during the day. But Strobe Talbot? Members of the Clinton administration sneaking into my sleep? Wouldn’t they just love being able to do that!
Any ideas, out there? I can’t wait to hear them.
Lee – I personally think that there are two basic types of dreams. One’s that DO have a meaning (if we can figure it out as to WHAT it means or what caused them), and then those dreams that are just a crazy mix. So maybe your brain was saying to you “do we (you and your brain) need to do anything with this item I’ve found lying here?”
I would agree. Dreams sometime make a lot of sense, such as if you dream about something relevant to your life. I have to pay my insurance bill, and probably will do so tomorrow. If I had a dream about driving into town, or a dream about my insurance agent, that would be a sensible dream.
If, on the other hand, I have a dream about a goldfish attacking me in my sleep and the. It morphs into a stork dropping malted milk Easter eggs on my head, only to be chased away by Barney Fife … that’s probably nonsense, but I wouldn’t mind some of those Brach’s malted milk Easter eggs. Darn, I made myself hungry. 🙂
