I Must Have a Built-In Barometer

I must have a built-in barometer or something.

This morning it was bright and sunny and I actually got more accomplished than I had for the last few days.

Around midday, it started up with the gray and overcast weather again and I could literally feel my energy flagging.  This has been an ongoing thing with me.  Gray skies, energy gone.

I even ended up sleeping for about half an hour.  I don’t usually do that, either.

Shoprite did not help by delivering my order to apartment 1  (again).  They were good for awhile, but since have reverted.  I also have written on the instructions “Please put bags in foyer.”  They leave the bags outside beside the front steps.  And they have the audacity to charge me an automatic $5.00 tip.  Plus the delivery charge, plus the bag fee.

Enough griping.  Does anyone have the same problem?  With the weather, I mean–not Shoprite.

Glad I was able to do what I needed to do.

Tomorrow is another day.

God bless everybody

Patty

  1. My wife hates AI and everything connected to it. When we shop, we always choose a cashier checkout line to have personal interaction with fellow human beings.

    1. In my humble opinion, this has become a real problem. I now make a point of including in my routine, trips through the checkout line at the grocery store so I interact with someone there, instead of self checkout. We need other people.

  2. Weather affects me. SE Arizona has clear blue skies, almost every day, and i enjoy that. For the last few days it has been uncharacteristically cloudy and rainy here; think Seattle. I can cope, but this is not my favorite kind of weather.

Years ago, when I lived on the Front Range of the Rockies, where weather is highly variable, I noticed that virtually every time it snowed, the bakery at the closest supermarket would be all but emptied. Why was I cruising through the bakery? For the same reason that the bakery was empty; people crave carbs when the weather is cloudy. 🙂
