No one will ever accused MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski of being one of the world’s great thinkers. They never even accused her father, Zbigniew, of that–and he headed Jimmy Carter’s search for a way to surrender to the Soviet Union before it collapsed.
But even Mika outdid herself this morning. She ought to win a prize for it.
Worried that Donald Trump might, by some weird alchemy, persuade the American people that the nooze media don’t have their best interests at heart, Mika said the president might “actually control exactly what people think. When I think of all the years I wasted as a newspaper reporter and editor, thinking my job was to present the facts to people as best I could, when all the time I could’ve been controlling exactly what they thought…
Noozies, noozies–you Democrats with press passes–you blocks, you stones, you worse than senseless things–have you still not yet understood that you’re your own worst enemy?

totally arrogant and narcisistic?. Unbelievable! Yes, I have known for years that this is what they think, but to come right out and publicly say so?!

What I can’t understand is why anyone chooses to listen to the media, anymore. Years ago, Imwas listening to a station that had, at one time, had good news coverage, bit as I listened that day, I realized that i was hearing an agenda driven version of events, the problems they talked about were all special interest issues, and nothing about the broader issues which affected the average person. I turned off that station, and haven’t looked back. Likewise for TV news and news magazines I had trusted, at one time. I do my own digging, these days, and somehow keep up to date, without relying on these media sources.
You really do have to do your own digging.
I use YouTube, watching several sources and try to find common threads. It seems to work.
Yes, and time really flies while you are digging.
Saying the quiet part out loud! Nothing has changed since then.
