Today was sunny and bright and relatively warm. In the low 40’s which feels warm after what we’ve been used to.
Today I got out to the post office and mailed off Lee’s manuscript. They should get it by Monday.
Had a really wonderful conversation with the clerk. She is a gem, and very helpful. She carefully wrapped the manuscript, boxed it and said it should get there by Monday. I was the only one there, so we had a really great conversation–about everything from Lee’s books to home schooling. I can’t tell you how good it felt to be out and about having a real interaction with a real person. She took down Lee’s name and said she would look up Bell Mountain on Amazon. She thinks her daughter might be interested in it.
Also did a bit of walking, which was possible now that the sidewalks are all clear.
It might not sound like much, but after this last few weeks of solitary confinement it was great.
I was not happy to find out that daylight saving time starts this weekend. I find that hour’s adjustment difficult and I always have. Losing an hour knocks my schedule off for weeks.
Well, that’s it for now.
God bless everybody.
Patty
There’s nothing quite like person to person interaction. It’s something we absolutely need. In this case, for a good cause, to boot.
I really dislike DST, only because Arizona doesn’t participate, and it places us an hour further behind everything east of here, even including states in the Mountain tome zone.
It was great to get out and talk to someone. And DST is a giant pain.
I don’t care whether we have DST or not, but whatever the case, it should he standard across all states.
DST is next Saturday, not this Saturday. Maybe President Trump will have the clout to get it abolished once and for all. Please pray for our military as they take out Iran’s ability to spread terrorism around the world.
Thank you so much. I mis-looked (?) on my calendar. Another week to go. Yay!
I will certainly pray for our military.
