Well, we seem to have turned the weather corner, and now it is full-blown summer. It’s 92 right now. Fortunately, my apartment stays cool, so I won’t have to put the A/C on until I start making supper.
Nothing major today–just the usual stuff. Sometimes the usual stuff is good–no surprises.
Today is D day and I have not heard or seen one word about it.
There used to be coverage of D day on the news, but it seems to have disappeared from sight.
Our kids are learning zip about history (even modern history), just as they are learning zip about most things. ( Transgenderism excepted).
On that rather low note, I will sign off.

Consider it a gift from the people of Arizona. It was 93 here today, and given the low humidity, that is almost ideal weather. Fairly moderate temperatures projected over the next ten days. I’m not complaining. However, the A/C has definitely been on, around here.
It’s a shame that D-Day is all but forgotten. The sacrifices of that day were immense, but the benefit to humanity was immeasurable. Sadly, many in Europe have walked away from the goodness they had.
Unfortunately you are right. Some places in France still remember the day, however.
As they should. That chapter of history was a nightmare.
