Jonathon Cahn could be called a controversial figure. He wrote the book The Return Of The Gods and several other titles. While I found The Return Of The Gods interesting, he cited all sorts of historic events which he tied to corresponding modern events. But, I saw no citations for sources regarding these events. IIRC, he considers himself a prophet and uses the title rabbi, which basically means teacher.
Matt 23:10 “Do not be called instructors; for One is your Instructor, that is, Christ.” Legacy Standard Bible
So while I have read what he has to say, and watched interviews of him, I don’t feel confident that I can rely upon him. He loves publicity and this was a windfall, in tnat regard. I don’t know what happened on that flight and while I can’t condone the attack on Mr. Cahn, I would love to hear just what Cahn said to his attacker.
A very odd story..I’m sure there are things we don’t know. I personally had never heard of him.

I don’t condemn the man, and he seems devout, but I am skeptical of anyone whom purports to be a prophet. Deuteronomy 18:20 – 22 tells us what our Creator thinks of persons who falsely claim to be prophets of the One True God. It’s not a situation I would want to place myself in.
Look at the major prophets of scripture: Moses was used to humiliate Pharaoh with the ten plagues and then to deliver the Israelites at the Red Sea, Elijah was empowered to restore the life of the son of the widow of Zaraphath, and Jesus performed numerous miracles. God can show His backing for a prophet. I remain a bit skeptical of some of Cahn’s claims. I wish him no ill, but reserve judgment regarding his claims.
