Canada suing some Amish for not having a phone app. How ridiculous can it get?

This is a little long, but the bottom line is that several Amish families during Covid went back and forth across the Canada/US border, as they always did.  They were supposed to have an “app” somehow for their crossings.  An app?  Amish people don’t even use land lines, let alone cell phones.  I smell religious persecution here and it stinks badly.

These fines would be ruinous to that community.

  1. Canada has become a de facto dictatorship. Unfortunately, almost have the population is completely oblivious to it, because it doesn’t affect them directly.

    1. My thought, exactly. While the Canadian people tend to be nice folk, there are some things happening with their government which really bother me. I can’t believe that they walked away from trade talks with the US.
