  1. That is something. 72 pounds is way up there, for a beagle. I had a beagle which was purebred, but taller than the AKC breed standards. He was a beautiful dog and fit, but probably weighed over 40 pounds at time, because he was just a big fellow, But I cannot imagine 72 pounds on any beagle’s frame. Lucky that she got help.

    I had to laugh when it bayed at that turtle. That’s the beagle’s answer for all of life’s challenges; bay at them. 🙂

    2. They are very nice dogs. Different, and usually following their nose into trouble.
