I lucked out and got an appointment with the eye doctor. You usually have to wait forever, but they had a cancellation for tomorrow. Hooray.
Of course, that means I go and vote first, then see the lawyer about the will and all of that stuff, then see the eye doctor.
It all happens on the same day, which is typical.
Please send your prayers that there is nothing bad going on.

Today might have been the least productive day of my entire life.
My ambition right now is down to zero; there is a ton of stuff to do, a load of things to be attended to in the coming week and much that I should have addressed today.
But I am totally out of gas.
I have a nice piece of steak for supper and with the fresh spinach I plan to have with it, I think the nutritional bases are covered.
But I am still tired.
I will take it easy for the remainder of the day, get to bed early and try again tomorrow.

Things are really getting to me today. Somehow my coping mechanism isn’t all it should be.
It seems like everything I have tried to do today has been completely undoable. And to boot the computer threw a tantrum and shut itself down over some imagined slight. Crikey!
I know things will get better, but the piles of stuff that I have to do sometimes seem insurmountable, and feel like they are growing instead of diminishing.
I have to take my car out for a run tomorrow to make sure it will start.
At least I got an appointment on Monday with the eye doctor.

Last night, getting ready to go to bed, I realized that my wedding ring was missing.
It has loosened in the last few months, but I always got it back in place before it actually fell off.
Now, of course, this whole place is ripped apart and I will have to do a deep search to find it.
The memory of those rings! We brought them to Maryland and I kept checking my purse every ten minutes to make sure they were still there.
We took them fishing with us on Chesapeake Bay (more checking of purse (aka fishing bag).
I have Lee’s ring as it had loosened so much that he had to wear it on his middle finger, so we took it off in the hospital and I brought it home for safekeeping.
Please say a little prayer that I find it.

It looks like I have finally figured out how to post Lee’s articles from the past. It took quite a bit of figuring out, but it really looks like it is do-able now.
I will start posting the much older posts first.
The article today was relatively new, but that was just today to test-run the mechanics of actually doing the posting. That is a really awkward sentence, for which I apologize.

The title says it all.
I thought all was going along just fine. That should have been a big clue, because nobody does just fine in my current position. Losing the love of your life leaves nobody just fine.
This morning my wheels fell off–I did nothing but cry, could not function, and forgot everything I had ever learned about operating WordPress.
So I took the morning off and wept.
Yes, I have a wonderful daughter. And I love her. But she is not Lee. And nobody ever will be.
I do feel a lot better now, and thank you all for letting me have my tantrum

Somehow, today is slipping through my fingers without much getting accomplished.
I went down several online rabbit holes, searching for information, and before I knew it, hours were gone. I was expecting a UPS delivery today, and after coming in from two minutes on the back step, found he had come and gone. He will be back tomorrow
At least I was able to talk to my computer guru, and also to make an appointment with my pulmonologist (for next March). Why does this computer tell me I am spelling pulmonologist incorrectly?
There is so very much to be done.
My daughter told me to take the day off.
I think I will follow her advice.

A few weeks ago I got a letter from my prescription drug plan insuranc4e company (henceforth known as the (PDP), informing me that my premium was going up this year. No problem, it was very low to begin with.
Now the other day, I got a letter from the PDP telling me that they were no longer going to cover my prescription. I only take one drug, which I am told is rather unusual for someone my age. So, of course, this is the one they single out for abandonment.
This means a deep dive into the murky and confusing waters of insurance.
I can’t really do anything until October 15 when the insurance carriers issue their new formularies for the upcoming year. That’s to find out who carries this drug.
Between October 15 and December 7th I have to find a plan with the right premium and that is also available in my state.
I really don’t need this right now.
We used to call this a hassle.
