What is England–Britain, the United Kingdom, whatever you want to call it–turning into? We knew it as the Mother Country, once upon a time. Now we hardly seem to know it at all.

Do UK police forces really have so little to do, that they have time to supervise private conversations? Or is it just so much safer than trying to catch Muslim terrorists?
