Winding Up Your Puppies

When puppies bark at an inanimate object–a toy frog, say–does that mean they think it’s real?

This wind-up toy frog does a good job of winding up two puppies.

(You should’ve seen my turtle’s reaction to a porcelain female turtle…)

A Doggy Mystery

Four dogs and a sofa–and what’s going on here? Why don’t the dogs on the sofa react to the two dogs fighting on the floor, just inches away? There must be some kind of story in this!

Dog & Crow

How often do we see this happen? Crow befriends dog. Crow does not get eaten. Did the German shepherd wish to avoid “eating crow”?

A glimpse into the Peaceable Kingdom that God has waiting for us…

Dog and Kittens

There’s a story here: gotta be. Great big German shepherd can’t get enough of these kittens, and Mommy Cat doesn’t seem to mind. In fact, she doesn’t seem to notice. Is this what humans call a blended family?

Problem Solved! (By Dog)

A lot of dogs run into this problem, but few of them ever solve it. How do you get the wide stick through the narrow opening? (No, you don’t break the stick in half! No dog would ever think of doing that.)

Will the Big Dog Win?

What’s that–two dogs playing tetherball? Well, they couldn’t play badminton, could they? And I did once see a picture of a bunch of dogs playing poker, but that turned out to be fake.

Zoomie Master!

Watch what happens when this dog’s human says “I’m… gonna… getchu!” Our cat Buster used to do this. His launch code was “Gimme dat cat!” Animals do know how to have fun. Their company is good for us.

How Dogs Deal With Stairs

Somewhere we have an old photo of my iguana going up the stairs to bed. Boy, the dogs in this video could’ve taught him some tricks! You won’t believe how some of these dogs deal with stairs… both going up and going down.

Dog Vs. Blanket: Who Wins?

Oh, dear–this is just too much! This dog is going to mummify himself if he’s not careful. Imagine the harm a blanket could do, if it had a sentient mind given to embarrassing pranks.

Can I Show Video?

Fingers crossed, here goes:

We have liftoff! It doesn’t work on the big new computer, of course: just on this little laptop. So here’s a dog who’s showing us a good time. Maybe some of us should try zoomies. (It only hurts when I laugh.)

So tomorrow the guy’s supposed to come and fix our main computer. The last time we had a Verizon repairman, some years ago, he just gave up and walked away.

Enjoy the jolly dog.
