Wow, I haven’t thought of Vacation Bible School in a long, long time! My mother used to get the neighbor boy, Peter, who was two years older than me, to take me there.

As you listen to this, Patty and I are probably vegetating in the ear doctor’s vast waiting room, surrounded by people peering intently at their cell phones: as good a time as any for a hymn.

Jesus Calls Us O’er the Tumult, performed by the Guildford Cathedral Choir–a hymn I’ve never heard before, but sweet and soothing.
