Beauty queen Kathy Zhu, Miss Michigan, has been stripped of her title, and ruled ineligible for the Miss World competition… for refusing to wear a hijab (https://townhall.com/tipsheet/bethbaumann/2019/07/20/seriously-miss-michigan-was-stripped-of-her-crown-because-of-offensive-tweets-n2550358).
I don’t care about beauty pageants, but I do care about people who aren’t Muslims being forced to dress like Muslims. They’ll be demanding Female Genital Mutilation next.
Ms. Zhu said she was punished for “my refusal to try on a hijab in 2018, my tweet about black on black gun violence–” that’s one of those things that liberals demand you pretend does not exist–“and ‘insensitive’ statistical tweets.” Indeed, she said, a Muslim woman “tried FORCIBLY to put a hijab on my head without my permission.”
Yeahbut, yeahbut, yeahbut… dude, it was National Hijab Day! Gee, how did we ever manage for 200-plus years without a National Hijab Day? Or a “Pride Month,” for that matter.
Western liberals can’t decide which set of destructors they want to hand their countries over to–homosexuals or Muslims.
