I had this hymn in my head for two days, but only the melody. What was it? I didn’t have the title or the words. It must be over 50 years since I’d heard it. But eventually my memory retrieved the first few words, and that was enough to help me find the rest:
My Faith Looks Up to Thee, sung by the Dallas Christian adult concern choir.
This is another one of those hymns that my grandma, my mother, and my aunts used to hum while going about their housework–My Faith Looks Up to Thee, here sung by the Antrim Mennonite Choir. Background settings by God the Father, maker of heaven and earth.
This classic 1830 hymn, here performed by the Dallas Christian adult choir, brings back fond memories: Grandma sometimes used to hum this as she sewed. I think my mother did, too. Warm, snug memories. The gift of God.
