I’m sure some of you already know Nora, the piano virtuoso who is also a cat. My wife has a Nora the Piano Cat coffee mug. Alas, we don’t have a piano. Anyhow, Nora has become sort of famous by playing the piano. If you’re as crazy as we are, you’ll learn to recognize her style. Sort of somewhere between Van Cliburn and Buster.

Nora’s famous, by the way. My wife has a Nora the Cat coffee mug that I gave her for Christmas a few years ago. We were even thinking of acquiring a very small piano for our cats, but that was before we saw what those things cost. I don’t sell enough books to buy a piano for my cats. Anyhow, they seem reasonably content with pipe cleaners and rolled-up sheets of paper.

Nora has played with an orchestra. She was the only cat involved. All the other musicians were human beings, I think. There is a rumor that one of the clarinetists was a centaur, but I have never known a centaur who could play the clarinet.
