[Yes, I haven’t had much output lately. Not that there’s nothing to write about: I’m just tired. The rest home wasn’t the least bit restful. But here’s a little something from the nooze.]
There’s been a lot of hoo-hah lately about who was running the country while Joe Biden was haunting the White House: in the words of one observer, “[P]ropping up a zombie president and run the country with a secret cabal.”
That’s about the size of it. One source says Biden used to get lost in the closet and had to be guided back out.
The point is that people were running the country who had never been elected to run the country. Biden was just there to be blamed if anything went wrong.
Some members of Congress would like to hold hearings on the subject. Like, if the president is out to lunch, he should be replaced by someone who is lawfully empowered to make decisions, and can be justly held accountable for them. Not some guy who gets lost in the closet.
There is no place in the Constitution for a secret cabal to be in charge.
So what happens now? My money’s on “nothing.” No hearings, no jail terms, no Democrats beating their breasts and crying “What have we done?” So they went around the Constitution and did things they weren’t authorized to do. They’ve done them and gotten away with it.
Maybe next time they won’t leave office quietly.
