I played softball in our league for 20-plus years, and I don’t think I ever saw anyone fall flat on his or her face en route to first base. Apparently running the bases isn’t as easy as it looks. I have seen a batter or two spin around and collapse after a lusty swing and a miss. Most embarrassing.
Anyway, my brain’s feeling tired and I needed some comic relief.
