Bonus Hymn, ‘The King of Love My Shepherd Is’

I love the way The Lutheran Warbler is singing her way through the Lutheran Service Book: stand and salute.

This is hymn LSB #709, The King of Love My Shepherd Is.

By Request, ‘The King of Love My Shepherd Is’

Requested by Susan (who’s a bit under the weather today, so let’s pray for her), The King of Love My Shepherd Is. Lyrics by Henry Baker, 1868, but the hymn has much deeper roots than that. The melody is associated with a hymn composed to St. Columba, who died in 597–after converting the peoples of Scotland to Christianity.

Arranged by Gonzalo Gonzales. Background sets by God the Father.
