Big government and big business have hopped into bed together in Red China to create a “social credit system” which, by 2020, is supposed to cover every one of China’s 1.4 billion people–and help the communist regime to achieve a “better managing [of the] social order” (https://www.wired.co.uk/article/china-social-credit).
American liberals are having orgasms, just thinking about it. Imagine! Total control of everything and everybody!
The way it works is, you get a “social credit score” that goes up or down, depending on what you do, and permits or restricts your activities according to your current social credit rating. Don’t join any kind of voluntary association, for instance, unless it’s one of those that has the Communist Party seal of approval, the better to “ensure their correct political direction.” ‘Cause if you do, you may eventually wind up being prevented from buying breakfast, riding a bus, or looking for a job.
Hi-tech giants like Alibaba and Google are helping the communist government develop and harden this system, which, it seems, will feed every individual life into a mammoth database and use computers to decide whose mind is right and whose isn’t. If you have a high score, you’ll be able to get prompt hospital service, reductions in your rent and energy bills, lower car rental fees, etc. In fact, it’ll even help you get a date. If you have a low score, your life is going to be made very difficult for you.
How do you get a high or low score?
Simple. The Communist Party decides what behaviors it wishes to reward and which behaviors it wants to punish. They can penalize you for whistling Dixie. Or they can punish you for not whistling Dixie. And change it from day to day, just to keep you on your toes.
That disgusting sound you hear in the background is America’s Democrat Party salivating.
