Hail Who? Do They Know What They’re Saying

As reported by the UK Telegraph and umpteen dozen other papers, pro-abortion protesters last week chanted “Hail, Satan!” at a public event in Texas ( http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/timstanley/100224931/pro-abortion-activists-chant-hail-satan-at-a-texas-rally-satan-doesnt-need-this-kind-of-bad-publicity/?ico=^editors_choice ). You can see and hear it on video.

So if you still think “a woman’s right to choose”–that is, her desire to kill her baby before it can be born, or even shortly after birth–is anything but satanic, you’re out of step with your fellow libs and progs. But then leftism, secular humanism, whatever else you want to call it, has always been the work of Satan. Ye shall be as gods, deciding good and evil for yourselves. It’ll work out great!

Out of one corner of their mouths you get all this pap that sounds so nice and well-meaning, if a bit muddle-headed. “We want a health care system that works for everybody!” “All we want is for marriage to be equal for everyone who loves someone else.” “We’re taxing the blood out of your veins to save the planet.” But out of the other corner you get the truth about who they really are: “Hail, Satan!”

Hey, they said it, not me…

  1. I think it’s great. Here we’ve been saying for forever that abortion is satanic, and everyone laughs at us and calls us bigots, haters, nay-sayers. Then, from the abortionists’ own mouths, their true agenda is revealed. Every once in a while, they sock it to themselves 😀

  2. The lines are being drawn. The issues are simply worship of the Creator, or worship of His opposer. Worship of the opposer usually comes with lots of propaganda about equality (which is never achieved) or rights (which always actually decrease). At th end of the day, there are lots of people who have the true goal of denying their Creator.

  3. Most of them, I think, really don’t know whom they’re invoking. And part of the blame is that of the churches that don’t get the message across of what Hell really is, who the Devil really is, and how substantial the danger is. So “Satan” becomes a kind of bad-boy pop-culture figure, with a lot of flash and dazzle but no real danger — at least, not to the with-it dupes in his fan club. But then again, flash and dazzle have always been among Satan’s best weapons. After all, the whole point of temptation is that it’s tempting.

    1. Or else he’s just “Lucifer,” the protagonist of a successful TV series that’s just been renewed for another season.

As they came out of Sunday school one day, one kid asked another, “Do you believe in the Devil?”
“Nah… The Devil is just like Santa Claus. It’s only your father.”

  4. Yes, it is a sad state of affairs, but doesn’t the Scriptures warn us? I confronted a group of teenagers who were making noise near my son’s home where I was spending time. It was around 4:00AM, and they were noisy, so I went outside and reproved them, and the oldest boy stepped up and said, “I serve satan, and this is what we do”. I tried to talk sense to them, but they would have none of it. They then walked to the school building and began walking around that. Does that give you shivers?

  5. Rep. Chris Smith (NY) was on the Family Council show saying the House passed a law that makes it illegal to perform abortions after 23 weeks because the baby feels excruciating pain. Do you think the Senate will pass it also?

  6. It brings to mind John 8:44 “You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”

They may not believe in the bible or believe that Satan exists, but they are still openly admitting that they are of the devil. The second half of that verse deals with Satan as a liar. Many of the arguments used by people to the far left are lies. They talk about abortion as being related to a woman’s right to have control over their own body, conveniently forgetting that there is the body of another human whose rights are being violated.

I especially like your final thought: “Hey, they said it, not me…”

It would not be good to have on record having publicly haled Satan in such a manner.

  7. What really astonishes me is how easily they forget their own ‘right to life’ stance when it comes to refugees and death row criminals and the like, and snatching children from their mothers as they cross the border. How they can’t see the hypocrisy is head-shakingly puzzling to me.

As for a ‘woman’s right to choose’, there is much to say about that. First, God made woman’s body able to procreate by design. He didn’t say “go forth and choose’. Second, the woman’ right to choose should be dealt with before a life begins – like birth control or abstinence.

Those who have said this is in actuality a blood sacrifice to their god, Satan, have hit the nail squarely on the head.

  8. Jesus called Satan “the ruler of this world” making a sharp distinction between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of man. When Satan tempted Jesus with the riches of the world, Jesus did not deny Satan had the power to give it to those who will worship him. In John 17 Jesus prays for us that would be in the world but not of the world. The epistles tell us to come out from among them an be ye separate. This is our great challenge each and every day. Where do our loyalties lie? Jesus said we will be judged for every idle word we speak – knowing this is the fear of the Lord that bestows wisdom on the hearers & doers of the Word.

    1. Jesus also pointed out that Satan is a liar, and the very father of lying. Of how much worth would be the devil’s promise to give anybody anything?
