Hymn, ‘El Shaddai’

By reader request, we have El Shaddai performed by Amy Grant. El Shaddai is one of the ancient Hebrew names for God. I hope you enjoy it.

Now I have to go to the eye doctor, and who knows how long they’ll keep me stewing in the waiting room with the Kardashians on TV? When I come back, if possible, I will post Be Thou My Vision… and I also want to say a few words about hoverboards.

In the quest for 4,000 hits–well, I need about 150 more today: not too easy, this being New Year’s Eve. But I will certainly let you all know if I make it.

  1. Thank you, Lee. This is truly a praise and worship song, and a great way to begin a day. Hope you have good news from the eye doctor.

  2. Yes I agree – which can also be said “AMEN” – and if we don’t chat before midnight.. please have a peaceful and prosperous New Year – and remember that prosperity can be measured in spiritual growth, closeness to Christ and similar yardsticks which do not have much to do with pro$perity. I can not speak for others, but as for myself – it has been a good year in the midst of much turmoil – as my wife and I seem to be getting closer to the path of following our Lord. We hope to sign up for a online minister college soon – and look forward to the challenges of that as seniors. As we focus more on helping others, we find we are helping ourselves. Not so much giving to any big organization, but in doing things for other individuals – often just a kind word, an ear to listen and taking time to pray for others. We pray for 2016 that everyone can find their paths that lead them closer to God, to helping their families and neighbors and reflecting His love to others around you.
    Amen
