‘In Christ Alone’

I haven’t posted this hymn in a while; but it came into my head at bedtime last night, so I thought I’d better use it–In Christ Alone, by Keith and Kristyn Getty, with Alison Krauss.

“No scheme of man can ever pluck me from His hand…”   Amen!

‘Thy Word Is a Lamp Unto My Feet’

(Did God just save our country, last night? By turning Biden into toast? Rejoice!)

This was the first “modern” or “contemporary” hymn I fell in love with–Thy Word Is a Lamp Unto My Feet. This is from a castle in Rumania.

Hymn, ‘In Christ Alone’

Welcome to 2016, everybody!

My editor, Susan, has asked for this hymn, In Christ Alone. The first time I tried to post it this morning, Pete Rose came up instead. But I think I’ve got that straightened out. I’ll know in a minute or two.

Hymn, ‘El Shaddai’

By reader request, we have El Shaddai performed by Amy Grant. El Shaddai is one of the ancient Hebrew names for God. I hope you enjoy it.

Now I have to go to the eye doctor, and who knows how long they’ll keep me stewing in the waiting room with the Kardashians on TV? When I come back, if possible, I will post Be Thou My Vision… and I also want to say a few words about hoverboards.

In the quest for 4,000 hits–well, I need about 150 more today: not too easy, this being New Year’s Eve. But I will certainly let you all know if I make it.
