Back from the Doctor (*sigh*)

Rush to the doctor, rush to the pharmacy, then to the supermarket, then you can try and generate a Newswithviews column…

They say I have high blood pressure.

Well, forsooth, that’s why I bought my bike in the first place; and it was doing a very nice job of lowering my blood pressure until I fell off two weeks ago.  So my arm is still messed up, I have other serious family problems which I’m not at liberty to mention here, I have enough work to keep me as busy as a one-armed paper-hanger, and on top of all that, every day I watch my country being murdered  by inches by the very persons who have a sacred duty to preserve and protect her.

Yeah, I have high blood pressure. Duh!

But I believe in the power of prayer, and I believe in God’s sovereign rule over my life and the lives of nations. And if any of you feel moved to pray for me–well, I appreciate it, and I’m convinced it’ll do me good.

  1. Even if you had been able to continue to cycled for the last two weeks, it will take longer than that to see movement in your BP. I say give the cycling more time and see what the results are in six months! Good luck and prayers forth coming.

  2. You and your family are always in my prayers, Lee. And, yes, Our Father DOES hear – and answer!

The prospect of our nation being healed anytime soon doesn’t look good at this moment in time. Although there are many of us crying out to God, this nation has turned it’s back on Him, and what may be even worse, has openly booed Him!

    Come, Lord Jesus!

  3. Indeed, I will continue to pray for you, and I might suggest using garlic caps to help with that BP. Suffering pain and anxiety does drive the pressure up. Even my younger son (age 54) has very high BP mostly due to pain from a recent shoulder surgery. It takes constant prayer with faith and perseverence, but we have your back. More importantly, God is FOR you.

  4. Prayer for you is a privilege and thanks for being humble enough to request. I enjoy your writing and disagree with your substitute, but do find him amusing.

  5. Lee, maybe this will lower your blood pressure – or at least bring a smile to your heart.

Many years ago, I read a little story by the mommy of a 3-year old little girl. It may have been in the Readers’ Digest.

The family was taking a drive one very starry night when the little girl said to her mommy: ‘God must be home. All His lights are on’.

Some days we could all do well to look through the eyes of a 3-year old.

  6. We will pray for you Lee.

  7. Strauss Heartdrops! Google them, order a bottle, take the drops. You won’t be sorry and your BP will love you. Also, L-Argenine is critical for regulating BP.
