Time Out for Kittens

I can’t help it–I love kittens. Grown-up cats, too. If you don’t fall in love with the kitten hiding in the Kleenex box, well, I don’t know what can be done for you.

Have I told you that I once almost got my iguana into a dog food commercial? Unfortunately, I fell asleep and missed the audition. So stardom eluded him, and it was all my fault. I never told him, though.

  1. I witnessed a live birth of kitties at the age of 5 and have loved cats ever since. I spend every extra dime feeding a handful of local stray cats and I don’t regret it one bit.
Some of them have been kicked around and treated like dirt and they know they can come here and be treated with love and kindness.
My beloved short haired exotic with white coat and green eyes recently had a stroke but she is slowly getting back to normal.

    1. There used to be a lot of stray cats in my neighborhood, and most of us took care of them–including vet care (wasn’t always easy to catch them for that). We all loved them.

  2. Absolute cuteness! I’ve had all of those experiences – and then some – with my cats. One of the mama cats I rescued insisted on birthing all 5 of her kittens in my lap 🙂 That was a wonderful experience.

God bless you for taking care of the homeless ones, Thorsten. I’ve rescued animals – mostly cats – my whole life, and feed feral colonies in my area. I’ve had cats with FIV, feline leukemia, seizures, crippled – you name it. And they never cease to shower me with love.
